Stomping around Fort Custer

So we braved white-out conditions on I-94 across lower Michigan on our way to walk some rescue dogs at the Southwest German Shepherd Rescue near Battle Creek. We had an awesome dinner at Schuler's in Marshall, the place where Artemis' parents got engaged long ago (Dark Horse Brewery is small and over-rated). Cool little town.


Cold as ballz but the sun made everything ok.


Got to do a couple rides on the groomed fatbike trail and get passed by some mushers!! Fun stuff even though the temps were near 0 degrees. We really like Fort Custer and plan to return as soon as possible.

Relic and Ozzy. If I already didn't have a dog, I'd take both of them home. Awesome dogs.

    It felt so good to be out in the sun and snow, even though the only other people brave enough to be out were the mushers! :)
