High Country Pathway
The view from Rattlesnake Hill. You'd never know you were in Michigan. Incredible view to Up North backcountry.
^ This is not my pic. It was taken by a guy from Cincy whose name I forget.
^Probably just after the fog lifted. We had been using headlamps and navigating pretty much by Paul Nichol's GPS (he's the guy that does Michigan Mountain Mayhem). We stopped at a road crossing in the midst of the fog, with our bikes lying in the road. All the sudden, we heard the sound of a truck or something, but we couldn't see. We figured it would be wise to get our bikes out of the road just in case, and seconds later a big four-wheel drive pick up roared right past us.
